Mechanica’s parts database contains a vast collection of parametric and object-dependent elements, including three-dimensional ones. When you change the parameters of a part, all associated parts in the drawing also change automatically, according to their database values. In Lesson 2, we will begin designing the shaft. In the first part, we will create a shaft using specialized commands and enhance it by adding standard elements from the built-in element library.

In the second part of Lesson 2, we'll dive into editing existing shaft elements and explore how to manage dependencies effectively.

In this lesson, you'll learn how to position the base by selecting a location on the shaft surface, along with placing the feature control frame. We'll cover the basics of editing, identifying surface roughness and breaks, and introduce the "Match Properties" command to help streamline your workflow.
